The result is one of the most off-the-wall and unique films ever made. Centring around a group of six women attempting to escape a possessed house that is threatening to devour them, House bridges the gap between horror and a Saturday morning cartoon with villains that include a watermelon that turns into a human head, possessed light fixtures and a cat that shoots lasers out of its mouth. Like the movie itself, this soundtrack begins in a cheery tone with happy-go-lucky bubblegum pop tunes at the beginning of the record that give way to some nightmarish sonic landscapes on the back half of the record.
